passed away peacefully on September 10, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a
long and hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Rod, born in Harbour Breton,
Newfoundland on July 30, 1956, will be deeply missed by Joanna, his sons Mark (Tara),
Matthew (Alaina), and David, along with his grandchildren Benson, Tanner, and Mallory.
He also leaves to mourn his loss brothers William (Helen), Reginald (Sharon), Sam
(Phyllis), and sister Marion (Jim); along with numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces,
nephews, and life-long friends. Predeceased by his father Samuel, and mother Francis,
Rod will always be remembered for his love of his family, quick witted sense of humour,
work ethic, and the strength, love and support he gave us all. We would like to express
our heart-felt thank you to the staff at the Cross Cancer Institute and the AHS Fort
