Allen M. Chastain

Allen Michael Chastain, 63 of Mountainburg, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 in Fayetteville. He was born March 31, 1952 in San Diego, CA to the late Thomas and Gloria Chastain. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church in Alma, a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War, a Life Member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc. Chapter 467 in Fort Smith, and a Member of the River Valley Detachment #1248 of the Marine Corps League. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Chastain.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, December 21, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial and Military Honors to follow at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Mr. Chastain is survived by his companion, Donna Bennett of Mountainburg; his three children, Lisa Rogan of Reno, NV, Rebecca Chastain of Springdale and Thomas Chastain of MS; his ten grandchildren, and four step-children; Connie Jarrell of Mountainburg, Michael Wallace of Fort Smith, Patrick Wallace of Santa Rosa, CA and Suzanne Mendoza also of Santa Rosa, CA.

Pallbearers will be Members of the River Valley Detachment #1248 Marine Corps League. Honorary pallbearers will be the Members of the Boy Scouts Order of the Arrow.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home.
