

Archie Odell Sisk, 82, of Fort Smith, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 4, 2011. He was born on August 9th, 1928 in Fort Smith to Matt and Ethel Sisk. Archie was retired. He was a truck driver for Midwest Lumber Company for many years and a security guard for Dixie Cup. He was a member of the First Church of God. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served in the 189th Field Artillery, 45th Infantry of Oklahoma.
Funeral service will be 12 noon Friday, July 8, 2011 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery will Military Honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary Alice Sisk, four children Gary Sisk and wife Christina of Edmond, OK, Terry Sisk and wife Diania of Fort Smith, Kathy Everley and husband Floyd of Van Buren and Jim Sisk and wife Wanda of Van Buren, thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren whom he loved very much.
Archie’s family says that he was all and more that anyone could ever hope for in a husband, a father and a Papa Duck. He will be missed dearly.
His grandsons feel honored to serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Everley and Eric Johnson.
The family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
