Our beloved Father was finally called home to be with the love of his life as he passed peacefully in his home on Monday February 20, 2023. Arthur Wayne Crumby known to most as “Art” or “Rusty” was born on September 26, 1945 in the small sleepy town of Bonham, Texas to J.B. (Pete) and Georgia Irene Crumby.
Our Father found his way to the great state of Arkansas where he would marry the love of his life Sandra Faith Hudson Crumby on April 4, 1987 in Fort Smith. His smile could light up the room and he never knew a stranger. He was a son, a loving brother, devoted husband, and great friend but most of all he was a loving father and a proud grandfather.
Thirty plus years of his life was committed to Whirlpool where he made lifelong friendships that stood the test of time, where they described him as a hard worker, a prankster, but most of all a good guy to know.
Our Dad lived a simple fulfilling life, loved his family and would talk to them every night. In his spare time if he wasn’t watching the Dallas Cowboys, or calling the Hogs, you could find him at Blue Ribbon Downs betting on the horses. The rest of his time was spent with his wife at home watching old Western movies or talking on the phone to his “Sissy” (sister Linda). The simple life was all he needed and all he wanted.
Dad was proud of his kids and bragged about them to anyone that would listen. His kids and grandkids were his life and they loved him very much and he will be missed.
Art is preceded in death by his parents J.B (Pete) and Georgia Crumby and his wife Sandra.
He is survived by his two sons Patrick Crumby and Austin Dority, two daughters Sonya Hancox and Shandreka Allred, and two daughter in laws Josie Crumby and Sarah Dority. His sister Linda Medcalf and brother in law Glen Medcalf of Bonham, Texas. Grandkids Michael Hancox and Ashton Hancox. Nephews Tim and Donnie Medcalf of Bonham, Texas and one niece Hopeanne Medcalf of Bonham, Texas and great grandkids.
