Barbara Elizabeth Boroff

Barbara Elizabeth “Betty” Boroff, 88, of Fort Smith died Friday, January 20, 2012 in Fort Smith. Betty was born May 2, 1923 in Tiffin, Ohio to Albert A. and Ruth E. Mizen Yoder. She was retired from the Fostoria Ohio Public School System and a housewife. She was a member of the Cherokee Village United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ralph Boroff of Fort Smith; four daughters, Jeanne Van Buskirk and husband Dana of Fostoria, Ohio, Sharon Maidment and husband Dan of Temeculah, California, Barbara Lynch and husband Danny of Fort Smith, and Janell Mendenhall of Fort Smith; one son, Jerry Boroff and wife Peggy of Marysville, Ohio; sister, Jeanne AcKert of Westerville, Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Penny Yoder of Tiffin, Ohio, Mildred Good of London, Ohio, and Esther Boroff of Mansfield, Ohio; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Larry and Tom, and one sister, Marjorie.

Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home and a Memorial service will be held at a later date.
