

Bertha Mae Tinkshell, 89 of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012. She was born December 12, 1922 in Kansas City, MO. She was a 1942 graduate of Lincoln High School and a member of the Lincoln Alumni Association. She was a member of Ninth Street Church of Christ and a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Allen Tinkshell, Sr. and her daughter Bethenia Tinkshell Egan.
Funeral Services will be 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, November 20th, 2012 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters: Deborah Peters and her husband Ova of Fort Smith, and Barbara Tinkshell of Kansas City, MO; three sons: Edgar Tinkshell, Jr. of Fort Smith, Wilbert Tinkshell and his wife Rebecca of Kileen, TX and Robert McDonald of Riverside, CA. She is also survived by her brother-in-law John and his wife Bobbie Mays, as well as 12 grandchildren: Edgar Tinkshell McGee, LaTrisha Tinkshell, Steve Bell, Leanne Tinkshell, LaSonia Phillips, Hamid Phillips, Jamal McDonald, Davon Egan, Erika Jernigan, Rashida Tinkshell, Nikki Sims, and Nikki Tinkshell; and 20 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Craven, Ronald Johnson, James Posey, Sr., Jamie Williams, Mike Williams and Charles Flemming.
Visitation will be 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, November 20th, 2012 at the funeral home.
