

Betty Francis Hampton, 75 of Fort Smith passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015. She was born August 15, 1940 in Fort Smith to the late James and Helen Gravley. She was a Christian and was known to all as “Nana”. She was the owner of Hampton’s Foreign Cars for 20 years and former bookkeeper for Cross and Sons Petroleum Company. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Jim and Bill Gravley, a niece, Carla Neeley, and a nephew, Eric Maxey.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Hackett; AR. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.
Mrs. Hampton is survived by her husband Arthur of the home, two sons; Stephon and Tim Hampton, both of Fort Smith, her sister, Peggy Adams of Fort Smith; five grandchildren; Ashley Dill of Cameron, OK, Raymond Hampton of Fort Smith, Chelsea Hampton of Alma, Nathan, and Samantha Hampton both of Fort Smith, two great grandchildren; Madison Hampton of Fort Smith, and Marilyn Hughes of Alma, five nieces; Karen Ward of Lavaca, Debbie Robinson of Fort Smith, Teresa Rambo of Lavaca, Tamara Edwards of Washington, DC, and Chandra Miller of Laguna Niguel, CA one nephew; John Neeley of Ft. Worth and her sister-in-law, Doris Gravley of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Lamb, Frank Turnbeaugh, Danny Starr, Jeff Tole, Robert “Joe” Moore, and Matt Caswell. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Hildon, Dave Smith, Ray Smith, Charlie Lamb, and John Smith.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the funeral home.
