Betty Newman

Betty Boatright Newman of Fort Smith, AR passed away Tuesday, December 14, at a local hospital. She was retired from the United States Postal Service and was a Jehovah’s Witness. Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by her parents Ira Bryan Boatright and Evelyn Boatright, one brother Forrest, and one sister Freda.

Memorial service will be on Monday, December 20, at 3:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. A private graveside service for family members will be at Forest Park Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Keith M. Newman of the home, a son William Bryan Dunn and wife Paula of Greenwood, AR, and a daughter Linda Kaay Dunn Brammer and husband Ron of Springfield, Mo. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Christopher Bryan Brammer and wife Robyn of Springfield, MO, Allison Lea Brammer of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Nathan Bryan Dunn and wife Renee of Springfield, MO and one great-grandchild, Wyatt Leo Russell Brammer of Springfield, MO.

Visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral Home Saturday, December 18, from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Newman requested that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
