

Bettye Sue Veit, 73, of Lowell, formerly of Russellville, AR., Indianapolis, IN., St. Louis, MO., Fort Smith, AR., and Springdale, AR., passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 in the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale with her sons at her side. A Special Lady and Friend to all, Bettye Sue was born August 23, 1937 to Jay Troy and Tincie Ann DuVall. Bettye Sue was a former Miss Russellville, AR and former Miss Arkansas State Sweetheart. She was a retired Property Manager of the St. Louis Chase Park Plaza. Member of the Missouri Real Estate Board, Apartment Association, Institute of Real Estate Management Ladies in Construction, St. Louis Ambassador, Junior League of Fort Smith, Pink Divas of Springdale and she attended the First Baptist Church of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two sons, Keith and wife Patty Veit and grandsons Conner and Kyle of Springdale, Robert and wife Mary Beth and grandsons Ryan and William of Zionsville, IN; Nieces and Nephews, one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law. Preceded in death by her husband George T. Veit and sister Janie Bibler.
Memorial service will be Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial of Cremains in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. A second Memorial Service will be held in the Circle of Life Hospice Chapel on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 1:00 PM.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:30 AM until service time.
