Bill McMurry

Bill McMurry, 89, of Cameron, Oklahoma succumbed to cancer in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on December 20, 2018. Bill was born July 12, 1929, in Texanna, Oklahoma to the late Tom and Gertrude McMurry. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed booze, guns, cars and younger women until the day he died.

Bill is survived by his wife Marsha Scyrkels; daughters Amanda Scyrkels of Cameron and Karen Beard of Fort Smith; grandson Logan Johnson of Cameron and granddaughter Sarah Davis and her husband Gerald of Mena. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his son Bill McMurry Jr., Ed.D, daughters Brenda Melton and Sharon McMurry, as well as a great-grandson Gerald Davis Jr.

Bill will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His kind heart and quirky sense of humor will be deeply missed.
