Carl Edward Parnell

Carl Edward Parnell, 68, of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015, in Fort Smith. He was born June 4, 1947 in Liberty Hill, OK. He was a retired fork lift driver for Gerber Products and a member of Amazing Grace Fellowship Church. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Anna Mae Parnell and a sister Patricia Driggers.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church with burial to follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Parnell, a daughter Sandra Kay Parnell and Fiance Daniel Moore of Van Buren, a son David Parnell and wife Tracy of Alma, two sisters Ferrel Knox of Ohio and Wanda Thompson of Tulsa, two brothers Charles Parnell and wife Patty of Van Buren and Gary Parnell and wife Stephanie of Van Buren and four grandchildren Tyler Parnell, Orin Parnell, Ryleigh Parnell and Tristan Parnell all of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Brant Driggers, Jeff Robertson, Phillip Robertson, David Tucker, Kent Jensen,

Daniel Moore, Dwight Payne and Cliff Weldon.

The family will visit with friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
