Carlos Vega Torres

Carlos Vega Torres, age 80, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on March 6, 2026. He was born on June 6, 1945, in Rincon, New Mexico to Ramon and Juanita Vega Torres. Carlos was dedicated to serving our country and was a United States Army and Navy Veteran.

Carlos is preceded in death by his parents and his four siblings.

Left to honor and cherish his memory is his wife, Sondra Torres; children, Danielle Shirley and husband Shephard, Beverly Womack and husband David, Ramon Torres, Sondra Torres and fiancé Adan Malagon, and Stephanie Torres and fiancé Troy; grandchildren, Angelica, Marita, Nicholas, Ramon Carlos, Alec, Sydney, Kirsten, Emanuel, Jack, Alexa, Elena, Emma, Andrew, Kandry, Kinzley, Gabriel, Kyrah, and Malaya; sister-in-law, Inez Torres; niece Destini Torres; and nephew Manny Torres.

The Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 11:00 am at Christ The King Catholic Church in the chapel, 2112 S Greenwood Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901. Following the service, Carlos will be laid to rest at Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 Garland Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901. Cremation under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
