Catherine Stites

Catherine “Cathie” Stites, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away January 3, 2021. Cathie retired from OK Foods where she happily worked for years as a dispatcher. She never met a stranger, and she loved to tell jokes and enjoy life. She would tell funny jokes and loved to put a smile on your face. She was a perfect example of a good loving mother and grandmother. Cathie loved to fish and play bingo.

Cathie was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Stites; and her mother and brother.

Cathie has two grandchildren, Virginia “Ginnie” Hatton and John A. “J. T” Stephens III, and she was her daughter-in law’s example of what a loving mother was and she spent a lot of time helping raise her grandchildren. She is also survived by one son, and her best friend, John Stephens Jr.; two sisters, Terry Lynn Ingersol of Hope, AR and Mary Pridgeon of Little Rock, AR.

Viewing will be Wednesday from 12 Noon to 5 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City.

Cathie touched many lives with her jokes and humor. She will be truly missed by her family.
