Cheryl Jeane Jones

Cheryl Jeane Jones, of Arkoma, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, just three days shy of her 76th birthday. Born on February 5, 1950, in Marshalltown, Iowa, Cheryl lived a life marked by devotion to family and a love for simple joys.

Cheryl proudly served her country in the United States Army from 1971 to 1974. Her time in the military reflected her sense of duty and resilience.

She was a woman of many interests and found joy in the everyday pleasures of life. Cheryl enjoyed reading and had a talent for crochet and quilting. She created countless handmade pieces that brought warmth and comfort to those around her. Working puzzles was another favorite pastime, offering both challenge and relaxation. Above all else, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren, whose presence brought light and laughter into her life.

Cheryl is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis Jones; her daughters, Cindy Bergren and husband Steven and Jennifer Doss and husband Daryl; her brother, Darrell Gorsuch; and seven beloved grandchildren: Logan Marion, Isaac Doss, Alexis Doss, Autumn Adams, Lakin Doss, Jonah Bergren, and Lily Bergren and one great-grandchild: Jeremiah Doss

. She was preceded in death by her grandson Levi Bergren, as well as her parents and six siblings.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on February 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Living Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 12515 Hwy 253, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
