Chris T. Billings

Chris T. Billings, 52, of Roland, died Friday, September 23, 2011 in Roland. Mr. Billings was born January 10, 1959 in Poteau, OK to Thurman and Laura Billings. He married Martha Billings on June 23, 1979 in Muldrow, OK. He retired after 30 years as a machine operator from Bekaert Corp in Van Buren, AR.

He is survived by his mother Laura Sussek of Roland; his wife of 32 years, Martha Billings of the Home; one son, Christopher Billings and daughter-in-law Katie of Centerton, AR; one daughter, Terri Verkamp and son-in-law Seth of Charleston, AR; four grandchildren, Connor and Kayla Billings and Claire and Addison Verkamp. He was preceded in death by his father Thurman Billings.

Rosary will be said on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 6:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel and the family will greet friends from 6:30-7:30 PM following the Rosary.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at 1:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roland City Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The services will be officiated by Father Jeffrey Polasek and following the committal at the cemetery the family will receive friends at the Waylon Jones Center in Roland.

Pallbearers will be Jim Tennell, Daryl Bailey, Todd Small, Greg Pence, Matt Shackelford, and John Lockhart.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 PM.
