Clarence John Schneider, 84, of Fort Smith, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022. He was born January 17, 1938 in Prairie View, AR. to John and Elizabeth Schneider. Clarence was a retiree from Rheem Manufacturing in Fort Smith. He served his country in the Army National Guard as a military policeman. He was active in youth sports in support of his children’s interests. He was a fanatic about St Louis Cardinals Baseball, all Razorback sports and the Dallas Cowboys. Clarence enjoyed fishing and especially loved the many “Schneider Brothers” trips to local waterways in search of crappie.
He is preceded in death by his wife Scottie Schneider, his sister Lynelle Schneider and his parents John and Elizabeth Schneider.
He is survived by his daughters Sheila Schneider Hulsey and Pam Smothers both of Muldrow, Ok, Brenda Schneider of Van Buren, AR and son Brian Schneider also of Van Buren, AR., brother Don Schneider of Fort Smith, AR, brother Cyril Schneider of Hackett, AR, sister Mary Lynn Pierce of Little Rock, AR, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A rosary service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church at 9:30 a.m. before the funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 2, 2022. Clarence’s cremains will be inurned and placed in the columbarium on the grounds at Immaculate Conception Church directly after the Mass.
