Dakota was a ninth grader at Chaffin Junior High. He will be remembered as a confident, fun loving, caring and giving person. Dakota never met a stranger and always left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He could always put a smile on your face. He found joy in life by giving happiness to others. Dakota cherished his role as big brother and role model to his brothers and sisters. Dakota was a member of East Side Baptist Church where he was involved in Amp’d Student Ministries, Life Group mission projects and Boy Scout Troop 4. He was also involved in countless volunteer activities and organizations: Partners in Christ, United Way-Stuff the Bus program, Riverfront Blues Festivals, the Soup Kitchen, Next Step Homeless Shelter, Single Parent Scholarship Fund, UAFS Best Robotics, March of Dimes, Pacific Well Foundation, American Heart Association, Toys for Tots, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, as well as many, many more.
Dakota gave his life to Christ and was baptized at the age of 13 on Easter Sunday, April 5th 2015. Just as Christ gave His life for Dakota, through his death, Dakota gave the gift of life to five others by being an organ donor.
