

He was born July 30, 1950 to Alta and John Harshaw Sr. in Russellville, AR. Danny was retired from Dixie Cup after 39 years of service as a printer, safety coordinator and, all around, jack of all trades for the company. Anyone who knew Danny, knew his love for the Razorbacks, motorcycles, and painting. He has spent plenty of time at motorcycle rallies including Sturgis and the local Steel Horse Rally. Danny has even won a ribbon for Best in Show for his motorcycle. Danny was also an accomplished painter, winning many local awards for his art.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, John Harshaw Sr. and Alta Gray Harshaw and sisters Ann Davis, Jean Bennett, and Cora “Sissy” Ellen Johnson.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife, Tara Harshaw; sons Huston Harshaw, Mike Harshaw, and Matt Harshaw; daughter Lonnette Presley and husband Richard; grandchildren Kaylie Overbey, Krissy Cotner, Presley Cotner, Kyler Cotner, Madi Harshaw, Keaton Harshaw, and Loren Harshaw; sisters Susan Ferguson and husband Steven, and La’Nell Noland Reynolds; brother in laws Freddie Davis, Charles Johnson, Trent Broussard and wife Margie; sister in laws Telesia Coulson and husband Jon, and Gail Harvell and husband Cecil; along with nieces, nephews and many friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service for Danny will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 1:00pm at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith.
A committal service will be held at Oak Cemetery in Atkins, AR at a later date.
