Darlene was born in Wakita, OK. at birth her parents had not yet agreed on a girls name, therefore her birth certificate originally read “No Name McClaflin”, she was an only daughter who married in 1956 and relocated to Guymon, OK where she became an active member of the community.
Then in 1996 she and her husband retired to Wister, OK. Where they remained until 2016.
Darlene is survived by her son Dustin Mark Smith, daughter Jacqueline Renee Beal, 3 grandchildren Kristine Porter, Derrick Christian, and Elijah Smith, 4 great-grandchildren Draven Cheatum, Connor Chavis, Serenity Smith, and Rue Sardina, And one great-great grandchild Adrial McCallister.
Graveside service for Darlene is Monday, January 30, 2023 at 11am at Fort Smith National Cemetery.
