David B. Peterson, Jr, 88, of Fort Smith, a lovely man and a hero, died January 7, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was born November 19, 1924 in Gifford, PA to the late David B. Sr and Thelma Bromley Peterson. He was retired from Southern Bell Telephone as a mechanic supervisor and a member of First Christian Church. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served in both World War II and the Korean conflict.
He is survived by 4 nieces and 6 nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Faye Peterson.
Funeral services will be 12 noon, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel with entombment to follow at Woodlawn mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Edwards Funeral Home.
Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
