

Dexter Edwards, 57, of Sallisaw, died April 7, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was born September 16, 1955 in Geneva, NY to Leroy and Norma Jean Goad Edwards. He was a retired tow truck operator. Dexter and his family loved geo caching together. They had geo cached in many states. Another of his hobbies was woodworking; he used his woodworking skills to make cache containers. Dexter was involved in Cub Scouts as a scout master, and more recently he became involved in 4H. While living in California he enjoyed fishing with his brother-in-law Tony.
He is survived by his wife Kimberly; a daughter, Courtney Edwards of Hot Springs, AR; a son, Tommy Edwards of California; a daughter Amanda Edwards of Oklahoma City; his sister Linda Holland and her husband Anthony of Coweta, OK; his mother Norma Jean Edwards of Coweta, OK, as well as eight grandchildren, Kyle, Katelyn, Jakob and Jordan Edwards, Lane Mason, Logan Edwards and Tyler and Haley Botsford. He is preceded in death by his father Leroy Edwards and his Uncle Bobby T Goad.
At his request there will be no services and burial will be private. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
