Donald Earl Glidden

Donald Earl Glidden, 80, of Fort Smith, died June 1, 2011 in Fort Smith. He was retired from Sparks Regional Medical Center in Engineering Maintenance after 18 years of service. He was active in the United Way River Rafting and he loved Wood Working.

He is survived by his wife Freda of the home; one son, Sheldon and his wife Trina Glidden of Greenwood; two sisters, Claudia Burnett and husband Wayne and Georgia Woodmansee all of Atascadero, CA; one brother Earl Alvin Glidden, Jr. of Atascadero, CA; and three grandchildren, Brendon and Bradley Glidden and Phillip Hart. He was preceded by his parents Earl Alton and Helen Elizabeth Gammon Glidden and one brother Leonard Glidden.

Funeral service will be Monday, June 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brendon and Bradley Glidden, Phillip Hart, Jerry Luper, Tommy Freeman, and Jeremy Ibison.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 PM
