Donna Jean Barnes, born on October 10, 1951, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 74. Donna was a cherished resident of Fort Smith, Arkansas, where she spent her life surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry, with whom she shared a life full of togetherness and joy. Donna and Larry did everything together, creating countless memories. She is also survived by her two sons, Todd Wayne Barnes and wife Angela, and James Corey Barnes and wife Cathy, her sister Sharon Gushing, two brothers Oran Elmore and James Elmore, five grandchildren, Luke Barnes, Cole Barnes, Katie Barnes, Tori Franklin, and Bree McBride; and eight great-grandchildren.
Donna was a beloved member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church, where she was blessed with many Christian friends. Her love for her children and grandchildren was evident in all she did. She was loved by so many people and will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit.
Donna loved to play Bridge and cherished her time with her many friends. She also loved to travel with Larry, exploring new places and creating lasting memories.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas, on November 29, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
