Dorothy E. Porter Wilkerson

Wilkerson, Dorothy E. Porter, 93, widow of Guy Wilkerson to whom she was married for 51 years, went home to her Heavenly Father May 28, 2012 in Lexington, KY. Formerly of Ft. Smith, AR, she was born in Greenwood, AR, a daughter of the late Carl and Zelpha Carlisle Porter. Mrs. Wilkerson was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church in Ft. Smith, AR and currently a member of Arlington Christian Church, Lexington. She was retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. after 28 years of service. She was the loving mother/grandmother of a daughter, Paula (Lonnie) Jackson; 3 granddaughters, Cindy (Ron) White, Cathy Jackson, and Cherie (Hans) Flueck; 5 great grandchildren, Aliesha and Aaron White, and Tristan, Jonah, and Ashton Flueck; and a granddog, Hamlet. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Preston and Jack Porter. Funeral services were held at 7 pm Wed, May 30, 2012 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY by Rev. Kristen Bentley. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 2nd at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Greenwood, AR under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
