Born on July 10, 1941, in Fort Smith, she was the daughter of Naomi and DuVall Smith.
She was a Fort Smith school teacher for 40 years. She spent the last 21 years of retirement traveling, taking care of her children and grandchildren, and living life fully with her beloved husband.
DuValla was preceded in death by her parents, Naomi and DuVall Smith; her brother, Leroy Smith; and her sister, Nancy Cole.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, David Ollard; her daughters, Darla (Andy) Smith and Dana (Bryan) McGuire; her grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Rachel Smith, Madison Smith, Brady Akin, Catherine (Dakota) Richardson, and Bryson McGuire; and her great-granddaughter, Lily Richardson. She is also remembered fondly by other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. A private burial will be held at the National Cemetery.
