Ed fell Wortz was an extra special friend of our family- actually like family. My parents - Lucy and Lewis Bryan - were from Van Buren, AR, and she and my mom were close friends since U of Arkansas students.
We enjoyed visits at her home and ours, loved her dad and her, and enjoyed trips to his wine cellar, Christmas packages of Wortz Bakery goodies, and most of all, her laugh and sense of humor. She was wonderfully unique!!
I just now decided to Google her to see if she were still alive. Since my parents have died, and I knew she had struggled in recent years, 
I've lost contact. 
Now I know that she died a year after my mom died (11-30-15) and 2 years after my dad (9-6-13), I'm certain they're having a grand reunion, playing bridge, golf and laughing about old times.

Ed Dell was truly a remarkable woman.  She was an inspiration to all who knew her.  I would not be who I am today without her, as she guided me towards my current career.  She will be greatly missed.  Rest in peace. Much love.

I took care of Edell for awhile and had a great time with her . She was a wonderful lady that I grew to love . Rest in peace my friend

Though she was family, I hardly knew her. The little I did learn from the one visit years ago, was that she was an intelligent, fascinating and determined woman. Proud to call her "family".

Ed Dell was a wonderful,  interesting person. 
She did a lot for the Fort Smith Museum of History in the Old Fort Museum days.
When I was the President of Wortz in the 90's, I always looked forward to delivering her the Christmas gift boxes she gave away.

You will be missed.  You were among many great ladies at the "Old Fort Museum" that encourage my love of history.

I helped Ms Wortz with her parties and boy did she love to have parties. A was  a great Hostess. She also loved her dogs as did we all. She had a great life and she will has been missed already during her illness. I know she had everyghing laid out for you because she was also an orgainized person.

Ed Dell took me under her wing when I took up the game of golf! I learned a more from her about the proper way to play the game!  She was a great friend to all, whether two legged or 4 legged! She will be missed by all!  May the good Lord bless and keep you.

Ms. Wortz was a Great woman,  She was not only my mom's employer of 50 years but also her friend. She will be missed. May your soul rest in peace in Heaven.

Ed Dell was a great friend and will be missed.  She contributed her talents to Junior Golf, and Golf in general.  She was one to be "counted on" to help raise funds for needy causes.
