Elma Louise Thompson, 83, of Barling, died September 4, 2017 in Barling, AR. She was born July 23, 1934 in Coal Dale, Arkansas to Payton Huston and Wilhelmina Beeler Ritter. She was a retired employee of the Rheem Corp, a homemaker, and she was of the Pentecostal Faith.
She is survived by two sons, Eddie Thompson of Hatfield, AR and Mike Thompson of Barling, AR; four sisters, Patsy Womack of Arkoma, OK., Twyna McDaniel of Fort Smith, Patricia Webb of Texas, and Wanda “Jeannie” Ritter of Rudy, AR; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Cochrane; one son, David Lee Thompson; one sister, Hazel Ritter; and three brothers, Bill, Cleo and Junior Ritter.
Memorial service will be Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Services and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
