Eloise Bedwell

Eloise Bedwell, 88, passed away November 6, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born June 18, 1925 in Lepanto, AR to James and Mattie (Heath) Stuckey. Eloise graduated from The University of Arkansas where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church choir, Circle One and Women of the Church. She loved to travel with her husband, Edward Bedwell, who preceded her in death. Eloise enjoyed spending time with her family at Lake Tenkiller and during her retirement she enjoyed long trips to Florida and playing Bridge. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Elise Bedwell Ross, and her brother, James Stuckey. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Haggard and her husband Rick, of Fort Smith, and Barbara Noland and her husband Steve, of Fayetteville, AR; one son, Ed Bedwell of Fort Smith; one sister, Gwen Cupp and her husband Cecil, of Hot Springs, AR; two sisters-in-law, Betty Stuckey of Little Rock and Jean Laws of Fort Smith . Eloise is also survived by five grandchildren, Brian and Tyler Haggard, Heath Noland, Hillary Southerland, and Robert Ross; six great-grandchildren, Joslyn, Russell, Brad, Matt, Miller and Riley. Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 8, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Private family committal of remains in the church columbarium will precede the service. The family will receive friends in The Fellowship Hall following the service.
