

Francis James “Frank” Oliver Jr., 69, passed away August 25, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was born January 19, 1944 in Charleston, South Carolina to Francis James Oliver Sr. and Deloris (Risher) Oliver. Frank was a graduate of Clemson University and was a Captain in the U.S. Army serving in Viet Nam. He was a retired supervisor at Therma Tru Doors and was currently employed at WalMart. He was of the Catholic Faith, was an avid bowler having bowled two 300 games, and he was a member of the American Bowling Association. He is survived by his wife, Marie; three daughters, Susan Fillyaw of Roland, OK, Karyn Oliver of Fayetteville, AR and Erin Wilson of Fort Smith; three sisters, Maureen Bruening of Ridgeville, SC, Judy Singleton of Summerville, SC and Linda Richards of Edmonds, WA; one brother, Michael Oliver of Greenville, SC; and six grandchildren, Matthew Oliver, Kassidy Hurst, Courtland Oliver, Remington Hurst, Maddox Wilson, and River Wilson. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, August 29, 2013, in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Fort Smith National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Rick Wells, Ken Selby, David and Paul Londino, Matthew Oliver and Eric Wilson. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 28, 2013, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
