Grace Garrett

Grace Garrett, 87, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011, in Fort Smith. She was born October 9, 1924 in Mount Ayr, Iowa to the late Benjamin and Esther Cracraft. She was retired from Fort Smith Public Schools as a lunch manager and a member of Calvary Temple United Pentecostal Church in Greenwood. She was preceded in death by her husband Winfield Garrett.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother James Meyers officiating. Burial will be at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

She is survived by three sons James Garrett and wife Cheryl of Pocola, OK, Benny Garrett and wife Amanda of Greenwood and Tim Garrett of the home, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tony Sturdavant, Travis Garrett, Brandon Garrett, John Overbey, John Wiley and Jim Cracraft.

Viewing will be Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM and Monday from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

The family will visit with friends Monday, January 2, 2012, from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
