

Harold Ray Turner, 65, of Fort Smith, Arkansas died on Monday, July8, 2013, in Fort Smith. He was born December 13, 1947, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a member, of the First Baptist Church, in Van Buren. He was a graduate of Northside High School, and was a professional truck driver for 30 years, as well as a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard. He was a faithful, loving husband, father, brother and son. He was also a lifelong auto racing fan, and raced cars, at Razorback Speedway, in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Memorial service will be held at 1:oopm, on Saturday, July 13th, at First Baptist Church, Van Buren, Arkansas, with his son, Reverend Steve Farris and Powell Sanders officiating. The family is requesting casual dress. He is preceded in death by his father, James Turner. He is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Patricia Turner; two sons, Mike Farris, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Steve and wife Michelle Farris of Keller, Texas, and one daughter, Nikki and husband Kevin Chitwood, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; His mother Minnie Turner, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; three sisters, Patsy, Edna, and Debbie Turner, of Fort Smith; three uncles, George Turner and wife Nadine, of Van Buren, William Turner and wife Diana, of Tecumseh, Ok, and Homer Bailey and wife Wyoma, of Frisco, CA; five grandchildren, Hunter Farris, of Lewis, Washington, Kayleigh and Allyson Farris, of Keller, Texas, and Hayden and Madison Chitwood, of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
