Janice Putnam Kirby Allen

Janice Putnam Kirby Allen, 87 of Fort Smith passed away Friday, January 16, 2015. She was born on September 21, 1927 in Gould, OK to Carl and Jewel Cox Putnam. She was a retired 6th grade teacher for Barling Elementary, and a member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Luween Smith; two brothers, John C. Putnam and Jamie Putnam.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 19, 2015 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with interment at Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.

She is survived by her husband Frank Allen, of the home; a daughter, Fonda Kirby Grant and her husband John Rich of Fort Smith; two sons, Rick L. Kirby and his wife Stephanie of Edmond, OK and Ken K. Kirby and his wife Alison of Westlake, TX; nine grandchildren, Nik and Elyse Grant, Scott, Zachary, Julia, Cassidy, Kyndal, Bryan and Rachel Kirby.
