Jennifer Nelms

Jennifer was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on January 20, 1984. She was the second of six children and the first daughter of Don and Gail Meador. She is survived by her husband, Josh Nelms and her two sons, Bryson, age 12 and Landon, age 11; her parents, Don and Gail Meador and four younger siblings, Daniel, Michael, Cindy and Katherine, along with her older brother, Donald and his wife Rebecca.

Although her time was short, one thing can be said of her: She lived. She brought light and joy to any room she was in and instantly became friends with everyone she met. She wrote this in a Bible study we found today, “Being who God wants me to be is how I choose to live my life. Even on hard days, I will show my sons/family how living for God is always worth our time.” She led worship through her music every week at First Baptist Greenwood and Celebrate Recovery on Tuesdays. Jennifer said her singing every week was her “voice for GOD.”

There is no doubt she is in GOD’s presence today leading worship.

Informal visitation will be Tuesday, August 23rd from 1-3pm. Formal visitation will be Tuesday, August 23rd from 5-8pm. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 24th at 10am. All services will be located at First Baptist Church in Greenwood, Arkansas.

Her pallbearers will be Donald Meador, Michael Meador, Daniel Meador, Jeremy Lensing, James Brackney and Sean Holland. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
