He was born on November 11, 1945, in Van Buren, Arkansas, to Marcus and Virgie (Horton) Eoff. Jerry grew up with a strong sense of loyalty, humility, and service, qualities that defined him throughout his life.
On February 18, 1966, Jerry married the love of his life, Jan Sedillo. Together they built a marriage grounded in devotion, humor, and steadfast partnership. Just days before his passing, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, a milestone that reflected the depth of their bond and the life they created side by side.
Jerry devoted his career to serving his country, spending time in the Army, the Air Force, and the Air National Guard. He carried himself with quiet confidence, never seeking attention for his accomplishments, yet earning the respect of everyone who knew him.
A proud and private man, Jerry showed his love through action. He was steady, hardworking, and always willing to help those he cared about. He found joy in the simple things that brought his family together. He loved baseball, especially watching Bryan and Chance play the game with the determination he admired. He also enjoyed playing golf, whether it was a relaxed round with Jan, time spent with his grandsons, or a day on the course with friends. Those moments of connection, laughter, and friendly competition were among his favorites.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bobby Eoff.
Those who remain to honor his memory include his devoted wife, Jan, of the home; his sons, Gary Eoff of Van Buren, and Bryan Eoff and wife Carolyn of Fort Smith; and his grandchildren, who brought him immense pride: Mystie and Kassidy Eoff of Alma, Easton Eoff and wife Caitlin of Bozeman, Montana, and Chance Eoff and fiancé Liberty of Fort Smith. He is also survived by his great-grandchild, Noah Eoff of Alma; his brothers, Stephen Eoff of Van Buren and Jackie Eoff and wife Shirley of Fort Smith; and his sister, Carolyn Groth of California.
Jerry’s legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the values he lived by, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. His absence leaves a deep ache, but also a profound gratitude for the years shared with him.
A graveside service with Air Force honors will be held on March 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 Garland Avenue, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
