

Jerry I. (Geheb) Schwartz, 74, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010. She was born May 15, 1936 in Barling, Arkansas to the late Bertha M. (Heim) and James A. (Jimmie) Geheb, Sr. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a member of the Presentation Circle. She was a 1954 graduate of St. Anne’s Academy.
Rosary service will be 4:30 PM Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 AM Monday, May 24, 2010 at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Tom Elliot officiating. Cremation will be under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Interment will be at Christ The King Catholic Church Columbarium.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jack E. Schwartz; two sons, Doug Schwartz and wife Anna; Larry Schwartz and wife Missy; one daughter, Kim Schwartz and fiance Barry Presson, all of Fort Smith; two brothers, Ralph Geheb and wife Betty; Leo Geheb all of Fort Smith; three sisters, Jackie Meenan and husband Bill of Fort Smith; Dorothy Parker and husband Herschel of Hackett; Shirley Donnohue and husband Max of Mulberry; five grandchildren; Alan Schwartz and wife Jennifer, Michael Schwartz, Michelle Schwartz, Jesse Schwartz and Jacob Schwartz and 2 great grandchildren; Vincent Valdez and Landon Schwartz. She was preceded in death by one sister Betty Mae Geheb; one brother, James A. (Jimmie) (June) Geheb, Jr. and one niece, Stacey Schwartz.
Pallbearers will be: Bill Weisenfels, Frank Hug, Gary Hunt, Gene Hatwig, Gus Mnich and Mike Schluterman.
Honorary pallbearers will be her Godchildren: Cyndi Hug, David Meek, Debbie Burger, Donald Schwartz, James Schwartz, Jimmy Barnard, Linda Stilley, Naomi Jean Strojek, Ronald Schwartz and Teresa McMains.
A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff of the Hembree Center in particular the “Chemo Girls”, “Upfront Girls” and “Lab Techs”; Mercy Hospice Staff; Pat Cox and Lana Hunt.
