Jesse Douglas

Sweet beloved Jesse Marrell Douglas, Sr was born to Frank and Sharol Douglas on March 13,1983 at St. Edwards Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Jesse was the final edition to the Douglas household, greeted with love and joy from his 3 siblings; Geren Douglas, Jamal Douglas, and Corretta Woodard(Jermaine Woodard). Jesse was a graduate of Arkansas High School, and went on to pursue his life as a writer/artist. Jesse's life testimony was spread through the lyrics of his songs; i.e. "Celebration", "Dear Momma", or "Colder than a Polar Bear".

In December of 2008, Jesse met the love of his life Nahlia "Mylove" Marie Douglas, his daughter. Through the journey of his music career Jesse met his life partner LaKeita Shyeatte Reed(A'Maurya Whitaker and Ka'Maurya Whitaker), together they had a beautiful son, Jesse Marrell Douglas, Jr.. Jesse was a talented rap artist currently employed by Money To Blow Music Group. Jesse is survived by his life partner, 2 children, his father, 3 siblings, 4 uncles, 6 aunts, and a slew of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandmothers, and uncle.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M,. Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at St. James Missionary Baptist, 4916 High St., Fort Smith, AR, 72904, with The Reverend Gary Hinkle officiating. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. His cremains will be placed in the columbarium at Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Janaury 8, 2013, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at St. James Missionary Baptist Church.
