Jimmy D. Beam

Jimmy Beam, 75, of Pocola, Oklahoma, passed from this life June 24, 2016 at his home in Pocola. He was born, December 2, 1940, in Fort Smith, to the late Clousen and Helen Cox Beam. Jimmy was a contractor and of the Assembly of God faith.

Jimmy loved to hunt and fish but was most happy when spending time with family and friends, out under the shade tree.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Daisey; his children, daughter, Judy Harper and husband Junior of Spiro, Oklahoma, son, Jimmy Beam and wife Kathy of Greenwood, Arkansas, daughter, Sandra Willett and husband Charlie of Pocola, daughter, Sherry Mackey and fiancé Rick Hayes of Van Buren and son, Michael Beam and wife Donna of Pocola; two sisters, Virginia of California and Helen Marie of Alabama; two brothers, Johnny Beam and Eugene Beam both of Pocola; his grandchildren, Dottie Smith, Carrie Harper, Brandy Saulsberry, Bradley Harper, Duchess Allen, Dustin Ramsey, Ashley Rutland, Landon Beam, Christopher Beam, Mark and Brian Harper, Summer McNatt, Trey Willett, Stephen Schultz, Erik Duty and Elizabeth Duty, as well as 18 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Beam.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
