John C. Brown, Jr., 72, of Fort Smith, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021. John and his wife Juanita, moved to Fort Smith from Des Moines, Iowa in 1985. He was a member of Living Word Church in Van Buren. He worked for Des Moines General Hospital for many years. In Fort Smith, John worked at Sonic for 11 years and only missed two days of work. He also worked at Burger King. He attended the Ray Baker Senior Center, where he volunteered for 22 years with Meals on Wheels. John also volunteered on Saturdays at the Fort Smith Trolley Museum. John made friends wherever he went, he and his jolly spirit will be missed so much. He is preceded in death by his father, John C. Brown, Sr. and his mother, Doreen Brown; two sisters, Jackie Kuster and Mary Jo Brown and a brother, Archie Brown.
He is survived by his wife Juanita, of the home; his nephew, John Joseph Brown; a great nephew, Jackson Brown; a sister-in-law Terri Brown, along with several nieces and nephews, all of Lineville, Iowa.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Brewer, Mike Sanderson, David Grimes, Brian Morse and Milton Young.
