

John Lee Wade, 54, of Fort Smith, Arkansas died April 1, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was born September 28, 1958, in Salinas, CA to Leonard and Frances (Ross) Wade. John was a retired master automotive mechanic and diagnostic technician. As a beloved father, husband, and son, John lived in Phoenix, AZ for over 20 years where his son and daughter were born. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman, and pet lover. In his younger years he played bass clarinet. He quietly helped many in Fort Smith by running errands, lending a mechanic's hand, and giving help to the Hope Chest. His great smile and laugh, and quick wit were infectious. He was a proud member of West Ark Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Susan, his daughter, Moorea Wade, a son, Chad Wade and his family, wife Jill and their baby, Noah, of Phoenix, AZ; his mother, Frances Wade of Fort Smith, and a nephew, Robert Wade with wife Nancy and daughter Mo of Fort Smith. John is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Wade and his brother, Paul Wade. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 2:30 PM at West Ark Church of Christ with interment to follow at Oak Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home with Mr. Chris Benjamin officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith, AR.
