

Joseph Wilson Procell, 84, of Fort Smith, died December 22, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was born August 15, 1933 in Zwolle, LA to Joseph and Victoria Sepulvado Procell. He was retired from the U.S. Army with 24 years of service receiving many medals including a Bronze Star. He later retired from Rheem Manufacturing and was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Irma of the home; one daughter, Pam Conger of Fort Smith; one sister, Lorraine Salbach of Evergreen, CO; three grandchildren, Tyler Procell, Nic Conger, and Kristen Woods; and one great grandchild, Parker Woods; and his constant companion “Hog”. He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Joseph Procell.
Funeral service will be Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church. Cremation will follow the service and burial of cremains will be at a later date in the U.S. National Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Procell, Nic Conger, Keith Blythe, Johnny Cearley, Bruce Procell, William Conger, and Josh Woods.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM.
