

Ken Scott Kostka, 69, of Fort Smith, passed from this life November 7, 2016 in Fort Smith. He was born April 23, 1947, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the Leslie Ray and Mary Alice Guth Kostka. Ken was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and had worked as a plant engineer for Weyerhaeuser.
He is survived by his daughter, Alice Kostka Helms and her husband Jeremy of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, grandson Jensen Dean Helms and granddaughter Charleigh Jo Helms; his mother, Mary Alice Kostka of Oak Harbor, Washington; three sisters, Patricia Karrigan and her husband Dean of Carrboro, North Carolina, Leslie Suttkus and her husband Jason of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and Kathryn Tanzi and her husband Aldo of San Jose, Costa Rico; his brother, Russell Kostka of Memphis, Tennessee, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Ann Wallace Kostka and his father Leslie Ray Kostka.
Private services are scheduled for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
