Larry Garland Mott

Larry was on the Board of Directors and one of the original founders of Cuttin’ Tails for Cancer. He was a member of Plano Elks Lodge #2485 (Texas) where he was Exalted Ruler (President) when they won state Ritual contest and went on to win 3rd in the nation & Past Lodge Elk of the Year; El Reno Elks Lodge #743, NW OK Vice President (95-96), OK State President Elect (95-96), OK State President (98-99), NW District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler (01-02); and a member of the Bullshippers.

Larry is survived by a son Michael Mott (Michele); daughter Danette Boyd (Cliff); four grandchildren, Marie Mott Johnson (Cory), Renee Pense (Cody), Ashley Hall (Spencer) and Joey Boyd; three great grandchildren, Josephine Johnson, Everett Pense and Emerson Pense; brothers Donald (Sandra), Douglas (Judi) and Chuck (Freda); many nieces and nephews and Aunt Pat and the Murphy Clan.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents Vhoris & Versa (Robinson) Mott.

If you came into contact with Larry, you did not forget him. Larry told everyone he held a PhD (Pool Hole Digger). He was one of the best in the swimming pool industry and many of his customers became his friends. Larry was full of bull and loved to tease, but that meant he loved you. Larry loved to travel and was always on the go. Larry was a devoted father and husband. He put his family above anything.

Memorial service will be Saturday, January 27th at 1:00 p.m. at Fentress Mortuary with visitation to follow.

Larry has requested in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made in his honor to Cuttin’ Tails for Cancer, 9405 Bridgeford Cir., Fort Smith, AR 72908.
