Linda graduated from Hartford High School in 1956, where she was editor of the school newspaper and played on the basketball team. She worked at Dixie Cup, Ohio Rubber, Spalding, and PSI, where she made many lifelong friends.
When her sons were young she was active in the PTA and a constant presence at all of their sporting events and other activities. When her grandchildren came along she enjoyed being actively involved in their lives and activities, too.
Linda loved reading, gardening, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed traveling, including trips to Africa, Italy, France, and Greece, many trips to Hawaii with her special niece Gabriella and brother-in-law Michael, and trips to Disney World and Disneyland with her grandsons. She loved the beach and was proud to have been with Casey, Cody, and Big Cody the first time they each went to the beach. One of her favorite travel memories was spending her 69th birthday at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro while on safari in Africa.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Goodson, her parents, Chester Robinson and Marguerite Raisbeck Robinson Elmore, her step-father, Nelson Elmore, and her sisters Sarah Gregory and Jeanne Ozurovich.
She is survived by her sons, Douglas (Linda) Huber and Derek (Jennifer) Goodson, her grandchildren, Kristin (Daniel) Skipper, Emily (Bradley) West, Casey (Brieana McAfee) Goodson, Cody Goodson, and Cody (Dylan Blackwood) Walls, and her great-grandchildren Eden Skipper, Emery Skipper, Eli Skipper, Emmett Skipper, Beckett West, and Anna West. She is also survived by nieces Gabriella Ozurovich, Lisa Gregory, and Tammy Brown, brothers-in-law Darrell Gregory and Michael (Grace) Ozurovich, numerous cousins, and her best friend of more than 80 years, Wanda Hearn.
Linda never met a stranger. She was spirited, opinionated, independent, and loved fiercely. One of her favorite quotes was, “Well-behaved women seldom make history.”
