Luke Edwin Greenfield

Luke Edwin Greenfield, 24, of Fort Smith, passed away January 30, 2021. He was born in Fort Smith on December 2, 1996. “ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life ,” John 3:16.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phillip and Susi Green; grandmother, Judy Greenfield; his uncle Bernie Greenfield and uncle John Hunter.

He is survived by his parents, David and Michelle Greenfield, his sister, Faith Greenfield, and one brother, John Greenfield, all of Fort Smith; his paternal grandparents, John and Sharon Greenfield; his maternal grandmother, Jane Puffer; his aunt Barbara (Steve) Daniel, Denise Clark, MaryKay (Kevin) Patterson, Julie Shepherd, Debra Guiterrez; his uncle Steve (Kate) Clark and uncle DuCote Hunter; and many cousins.

Luke graduated from Southside High School with honors in 2015. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arkansas- Fort Smith in 2018. During college, he worked an internship at Rheem and then ArcBest Technologies, where he worked for 4 years as a computer programmer.

He was a very kind hearted and thoughtful young man, dearly loved by his family and friends. During high school, he went on a mission trip to Haiti, where he spread the gospel, helped build a home for young girls, and loved on all the children. He loved playing guitar and enjoyed car rides, playing golf, chess, walking at the park, biking, running, and lifting weights. He loved being outdoors. He was a member at Community Bible Church where he had played guitar in the youth band and volunteered with CBC kids and lead kids small groups.

Luke's celebration of life is scheduled for 11am, Friday, February 5, 2021, at Community Bible Church, officiated by Kevin Thompson of CBC. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
