Lydia Acord, 93, of Fort Smith, passed from this life June 23, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born May 4, 1922 in Mulberry, Arkansas, to the late Edward and Frances Wehunt Turner. She retired from the Wortz Company.
Lydia is survived by one daughter, Pat Edison of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; three sons, Jack Acord and his wife Kathie, of Paducah, Kentucky, Neal Acord of Houston, Texas and Jim Acord and his wife Brenda of Fort Smith; a daughter-in-law, Tera Acord, as well as 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her oldest son, Gerald Acord.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday, June 26, 2015 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home.
