Mabel Evelyn Stewart, 83, of Fort Smith, died July 27, 2010 in Fort Smith. She was born November 2, 1926 in Leachville, AR to James Louis and Rachel Kathryn Littlefield Brewer. She was a Homemaker and member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by five daughters, Judy Cummings of Madisonville, KY., Glenda Stewart of Dallas, TX., Carla Jean Freeman of Van Buren, Sandra Lee Leonard of Fort Smith and Elaine Longstreth of Tulsa, OK; one sister, Faye McDowell of Flint, MI; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Glenn Stewart.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the First Church of the Nazarene in Fort Smith with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Stewart Freeman, Rodney and Kenneth Evans, Trent and John Longstreth, Edward Stapp, Alvin Cummings, Eddie Leonard and Brandon Stapp.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5-7 PM
