

She was born on February 9, 1933 in Ratcliff, Arkansas to the late Cyril and Ethel Pettigrew. Marolyn grew up in Branch, Arkansas with her Mom, 2 brothers, and her stepdad, Clyde Thomson. Marolyn graduated as Salutatorian from County Line High School in 1951. She was known for her basketball skills and went on to become an all-state basketball player. She married Olen Price on December 21, 1951 at First Baptist Church in Branch, Arkansas. They were married for 68 years.
Nana was a devoted member of Spradling Baptist Church for 64 years, serving as pianist, Sunday School teacher, WMU leader, Bible school teacher, camp sponsor, and she sang in the choir for years. She worked at Radiologists PA in Fort Smith for almost 35 years. She also enjoyed organizing Branch/County Line School reunions and working the polls for elections. She worked alongside Grandad in running Price Angus Farm and cheering for the Razorbacks!
Marolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Price; her parents; her brothers Tom Pettigrew and Sam (and wife, Mary Ann) Thomson.
She is survived by her 3 children: Teresa (and husband, Dan) Hobbs of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Vicki (and husband, Kirk) Martin of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and Kendall (and wife, Kathy) Price of Hackett, Arkansas; her 6 grandchildren: Stephanie (and husband, Aaron) Hamilton of Royse City, Texas; Lindsey (and husband, Patrick) Pulley of Olympia, Washington; Eric (and wife, Leah) Martin of Bentonville, Arkansas; Elise Martin of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Matthew Price of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Michelle Price of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and her 11 great-grandchildren: Ayan, Kennedy, Will, Lyla, Campbell, Mack, Knox, McCall, Mia, Zoey, and Hoosier.
Public viewing will be on Thursday, November 5th at Edwards Funeral Home from 10 AM – 7 PM. The family will be present from 5-7 PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th at 11:00 AM at Spradling Baptist Church at 3515 N. 50th Street in Fort Smith, Arkansas with the Rev. Don Bradford officiating. Private burial will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The service will be livestreamed on Facebook Live, under Aaron Hamilton's Facebook Page.
Pallbearers will be Kendall Price, Dan Hobbs, Kirk Martin, Eric Martin, Matthew Price, and Aaron Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Pulley and the deacons of Spradling Baptist Church.
Memorials can be made to Spradling Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
