

Mary Jo Schwinger, 49, of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Fort Smith Razorback Club. She was employed at First National Bank Brooken Hill Branch. She was a former Girl Scout leader, and was chairman of the Fort Smith Classic Golf Tournament every year where she was on the Roping and Staking committee with her husband Dann. She was a huge Razorback fan and attended most football, basketball and baseball games. She was also a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers and loved the Minnesota Twins. She enjoyed hanging out by the pool and working in her flower garden. She also enjoyed jumping in the car and traveling with her family, camping and just being with her friends.
Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband Dann; two daughters: Alisa Schwinger of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Staci Schwinger of Fort Smith; one son: John Schwinger of New Orleans, Louisana; her father Wayne Mitchell and his wife Sharon of Canton, South Dakota; three sisters: Anne and her husband Scott Steele of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Catherine and her husband Mark Reeves of Duvall, Washington; Kristin and her husband Alan Brandyberry of Hudson, Ohio; three brothers: Jim Mitchell and his wife Ann of Waconia, Minnesota; Brian Mitchell and his wife Teresa of Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin and Tom Mitchell and his wife Anna of Hartford, South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Jim Smith, Ray Jordan, Bary Bugg, Timothy Redmond, Adam Renner, Alex Renner, Nick Mitchell and Jack Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers will be all of her nieces and nephews and the Fort Smith Classic volunteers.
The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. prior to the Rosary service at Edwards Funeral Home.
