This has been a sad week for our family as we say good-bye to our son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin; Matthew Nunn. Matt passed away Thursday, February 25 due to an accident in his home; he had just turned 29 on February 10th. After graduation from Northside High School he joined the Navy and was stationed in Japan for two years.
Matt is preceded in death by his grandparents Rex and Willa Dean Scott, Charles and Mary Nunn, Uncles Mark Nunn, and George Stonebreaker and niece Abigail Rhodes.
He is survived by his father Chuck Nunn, his mother Glenda Nunn and Jim Meyers, brother Jeremy Rhodes and Sara Hall, niece Kearagan Rhodes, aunt Vee Stonebreaker and cousins; Mariann, Jerimiah, Missy, and Mariah.
Matt was a gentle, kind person, always ready to laugh and give affection. His last words were always “I love you” as he walked out the door. It seems his mission in life was to give and receive love, and we hope his friends and others, who knew him, will remember his easy going laugh and the love he gave so willingly. We will forever be saddened by his loss because we loved him so much, but we have some peace know that he knew he was loved every single day of his life. We look forward to the day our entire family is reunited.
Cremation is under the direction of Fentress Mortuary. No services are scheduled at this time due to the bereavement of his family.
