She was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea Watts.
Melinda is survived by one son, Mike Cooper and his wife Laurie, of Fort Smith; her son-in-law, Terry Watts; her sister, Sandy Buergler Hardcastle of Springdale, AR; her brother, Andrew Joseph Buergler Jr. and his wife Ramona, of Fort Smith; and her three grandchildren, Brianna and John Michael Watts, and Berkley Cooper.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
